Rare Gearbox

All-synchromesh gearbox. Very limited production. Re-manufactured with 12-moth warranty.  Unique ribbed case is constructed for greater rigidity and better cooling, heat being the enemy of longevity.  This gearbox can be fitted to either directly a Series III, or a Series II or IIa with slight modification. Originally constructed for the Series III Land-Rover and is a drop-in unit for same, but with a change in the slave cylinder and one pipe and one hose this all-synchro gearbox may be fitted to earlier Land-Rovers starting with the model year 1959 (at least models fitted with 2 1/4-litre engines) including long and short wheelbase. Comes complete with transfer case, front output housing and handbrake assembly. Uses conventional mounts. Requires Series III clutch cover and 9 1/2" clutch disc.
